Privacy Policy – FLUX
This is a starting point drafted for FLUX's actual current setup (Supabase for hosting/sync, Stripe for billing, the $9/mo and $90/yr NZD plans, and the Study Link shared-team feature). It is not legal advice – please have someone with NZ privacy-law expertise look it over before relying on it, especially once you have more than a handful of paying customers.
What FLUX stores
FLUX records the work entries you create: task names, timestamps, notes, to-do items, field/category names, and your app preferences. Entries stay on your device unless you create a sync account.
If you create a sync account
- Your email address, a securely hashed password, and your entries are stored so they can sync between your devices.
- Data is hosted with Supabase (our processing provider).⚠ Confirm which region your Supabase project actually runs in – check Project Settings → General in your Supabase dashboard – and state it here.
- Subscription status (plan, renewal date) is stored alongside your account. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Study Link (shared/team studies): if you join or start a shared Study using a team code, the time entries logged under that code are pooled with other members' entries so the group can see aggregate trends. Entries are never attributed to the person who logged them – nobody else in the Study, including its creator, can see who logged a given entry. Leaving a shared Study and returning to your personal Study stops any further entries from being pooled.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share your data, run ads, or use your entries for anything except providing the service. We don't use analytics trackers inside the app.
Your choices
- Use the app without an account: data never leaves your device.
- Export everything at any time (CSV and JSON backup are built in).
- Delete your account and synced data: email hello@whetulabs.nz and we'll remove them within 30 days.
